Pirate Zombie!!!

Well, the first of my original character busts is under construction. I'm well under way on the Zombie Pirate. This is going to be a fun project (as it has been already). I'm looking forward to getting to the details part of the sculpt, when it will really start to come alive (or undead)

This is my wife and I'd like her to say hi: Hello, I'm Alfred's wife Heidi. He's forcing me to write in his blog, which I find really uncomfortable, but he's annoyingly cute as well as talented, so hi everybody, thanks for all the support and encouragement over the years, it means a lot to us both!

Day two of new web site stuff

So it seems like I have a good handle on this web site building thing. There's still a few things I need help with but I spent the whole day yesterday researching how to sell on my web site. I think Paypal has the best options for me (especially since I already have a merchant account). No it's just a matter of style. Still getting that squared away. I need to make some banners and a home page image in photoshop, so I can really customize my site. I'm not as worried about that stuff as I am about the working of the web site and the ease of use by the visitors. I really do want people coming back and checking things out here. Perhaps this blog will have some how-to sections every once in a while. Anyway, that's enough rambling for this one. We'll see if I get any time to make changes to the site today.

Trying out a new web site builder

I really don't like doing all this web design stuff. I'm really not cut out for it. Things are supposed to be simple turn out to be more complicated for me. I'm a hands on kind of guy. I like to build things with my hands in the real world rather than in the virtual one. Still, this is something I need to get used to doing. I don't want to become so dependent on others to do things for me (on the computer) that I basically become a toddler in a world of online media - having to have my hand held or to be carried through all the confusing and ever evolving technology. I hope that I can make a site that is both visually appealing and easy to use. I hope that people will want to come back to my site often to read what I'm up to and see pictures of new work and works in progress. I would also like to create an easy to use and secure store to sell my sculptures. This is the beginning of a new online world for me... let's hope I chose the right map.
